Based upon federal dietary guidelines, menus offered to students are nutritionally sound and offer a variety of popular foods designed to please varied palates. A la carte items are available for purchase daily.
School lunchesand breakfasts are subsidized by the state and federal governments to help schools contain costs. Subsidies are available for families who are determined to be eligible for free or reduced lunch and breakfast program.The cost for a student who is eligible for a reduced price breakfast and lunch is 25¢. per meal.
The 2016-2017 full priced lunch for K-3 elementary students is $2.10; for grades 4-6 the cost is $2.40; and for grades 7-12 the cost is $2.55.
Families are encouraged to pre-pay for lunches. Prepayments may be made by cash or check at any of the Lancaster Central Schools Cafeterias, at the Food Service Department located at 177 Central Avenue, Lancaster New York between 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday or mailed to the same address. Pre Payments may also be made on line at www.myschoolbucks.com.
