Leadership Academy Mission

The purpose of the Lancaster High School Leadership Academy is to provide a structured learning environment that will develop student leaders to make a positive impact on our school’s climate and our community as well as to enhance those skills necessary for them to become active, productive citizens.

How do we plan to get there?

In leadership, students tend to learn through doing rather than through sitting down and talking about doing things.  If you are looking to apply, expect to be thrown into project planning right off the bat, and to learn by making mistakes. You will be given lots of responsibility, and will be entrusted with carrying on long standing traditions of LHS.  The advisors will help to keep you from ever dropping the ball totally, while allowing you to make errors and miscalculations that you can learn from and reflect upon to become a better leader.
