Welcome to Hillview!
Hillview is a dynamic school with a strong emphasis on academic excellence. The instructional strategies and techniques the staff implements are carefully balanced with the developmental needs of the children. We have children in the fall as young as four years old. In grade three, the oldest student may be nine years old after January. We are very cognizant of the age of the children and focused on the protection of childhood.  There are three top priorities at Hillview. The first is the safety of the children. The second area is self-esteem and the development of self-confidence. The third area is uninterrupted instructional time. Additionally, we have an active parent volunteer program. This program is a significant factor in our success.
 
At Hillview we are fortunate. The part of the Lancaster community we serve truly values education. Children come to school ready to learn, they are respectful, polite, and mannerly. Teaching is far from an easy profession, as we know children learn in different ways and at different times. Together with a supportive home environment, we can focus on solid instruction balanced with an appropriate amount of playtime. Distractions are minimal and the school environment is warm and nurturing.
 
I am proud to be a part of the Lancaster Community and privileged to work with an outstanding faculty and staff and especially children that are eager to learn.

    Kindergarten Registration March 1, 2013 through March 15, 2013.
    Kindergarten Screening May 28, 2013 through June 3, 2013.
